2008 Recruitment Week Schedule
All nights are from 7-10pm on the 3rd floor of the Milo Bail Student Center.
Tuesday, September 2nd : Info Night / Meet the Chapter
We will start off Recruitment Week with a general information session where you will get a brief overview of UNO's Greek Life.
You will meet the Recruitment Counselors and the rest of the guys in your recruitment group. Then you will go to each
fraternity's room to learn about all four chapters on an individual basis. If you have narrowed down your choice by the end of
the night, you can fill out a preference card with your top three choices, and come back Thursday.
Wednesday, September 3rd : Optional Night
If you didn't decide your top three choices or couldn't make it on Tuesday, then Wednesday night will be a time to come and meet
each of the fraternities on a more one-on-one basis. You will learn more information about each chapter and get to know the
guys in each chapter a little better. By the end of the night, you will fill out a preference card with your top three choices.
Thursday, September 4th : Preference Night
On Thursday night, you will go to the rooms of your top three fraternities and get a better understanding of the specific
aspects and characteristics of each of your top three chapters. This is the time to make sure all of your questions have been
answered so you can be confident on your knowledge of each chapter. By the end of the night, you should have a feeling for which
fraternity is the best fit for you, and the fraternities will be making sure that you are a good fit for them.
Friday, September 5th : Bid Night
Each of your top three fraternity preferences will have the opportunity to extend a formal bid to you. When you come on Friday,
you will receive a packet with whichever bids were extended to you. You will then be able to pick the fraternity that you want
to join. While with your Recruitment Counselor, you will sign the bid of your top choice, becoming an official member of that
fraternity.
